Prolific Magazine
Publication Design & More
Prolific Magazine is a student-led fashion magazine focused on people of color at the University of Northern Iowa. I have been widely involved in the student organization, from being apart of its founding during my sophomore year with the role of graphic design to being a creative director for the student organization's first fashion show.
This student organization has been a great opportunity to be involved in publication design along with gaining collaborative skills that are
essential in the industry.
Logo Creation
I assisted in the founding name of the student organization along with the logo design. I designed the logo with the inspiration of the iconic look of magazine
cut-outs. Due to the student organization's mission of expressing diversity, I decided to include variety in the color scheme and avoided skin-tones or heavily identifying coloristic themes.

The Iconic Iowa Fashion Show
I was the creative director for our very first fashion show! This was a huge learning experience as a leader directing a variety of skillsets including our very small design team, backstage crew, model coordinators, and even our marketing team.
Though, the fashion show was a huge success with a 200-seat venue that was packed!
Outside of Publication Design
Aside from being a creative director and graphic designer for the publication, I also designed the primary forms of marketing for the fashion show. I decided to incorporate the colors of the university -- purple and gold. However, I added a modern twist to fit the standards of industry-level fashion shows.
