Soul Train Postcards

This project begun as a challenge to create a set of postcards based on an event or location using only typography. I decided to incorporate the original and legendary Soul Train television show and use only the Bodoni type face.

 

The postcard set has words and text in both English and Spanish that are set throughout each postcard's subject. Example words are "Funk" and "Alma" which means soul. These words along with many others act as a word search while pronouncing the energy of songs performed on the show and the dancers who left a historical mark in the music's culture.
