Voto App
User Experience
This project was an opportunity to advance my user experience skills and practice design systems for app creation.
Voto is a free voting tool for those who need unbias and reliable sources to learn how to use their political voice. This is the perfect app for a voter whose unfamiliar with going to the voting polls, engaging politically in their community, or want to keep track of upcoming elections within their geography.
This app does not focus on candidates policies or political opinions. Instead, Voto will provide general information of the candidates’ position and role for better voter comprehension of the government. Furthermore, the app guides the user to the candidates’ official website and contact information as an unbias and fair practice for all candidates and all parties.
Overall, Voto helps new and even experienced voters stay alerted for elections, how-tos, and unbias resources for becoming politically engaged and educated.
The User Experience Process (Personas)
Since the app is focused on unexperienced voters, I decided to reference my peers in university who may or may not be as politically involved as they'd like to be.

Design Process
For the logo to the color scheme, I wanted to design a tool that is completely unbias. Therefore, I was very proactive with the colors used along messaging. Since the app's main focus is encouraging the user to exercise voting, I referenced a paper airplane going into a ballot box. It is a friendly approach to an often daunting topic while there is no subconscious political preference.
